Victorious Grace

This last Sunday was an honor for us as parents.  We got to join with our church  and family to dedicate Kyla to the Lord.  To partner with God to raise her to know truth, and pray that one day she would take it as her own.

We had the chance to share with the church what God has laid on our hearts as parents for Kyla.  Kyla means lovely and victorious, thus the meaning of her full name is Victorious Grace. We pray that she would take God's grace as her own, and then extend it to others.

The Children's pastor stated that she thought Kyla was going to have the heart of Worship or the Heart of a Pastor because of her dancing during Worship.  Ha!  She did try to grab the microphone while Jason and I were talking.  Such a blessing!

Thank you to the family members and friends who were and were not able to attend and support us on this day.  We are stronger parents because of your support and encouragement.  Thanks for helping us raise our daughter.

We celebrated at Olive Garden after.  Kyla was in heaven.  With all the pasta and bread she could eat.  She favored the soup (thanks Asobo for sharing yours until Mommy's came).

Her ponytail was not that high at the beginning of the day. :)

Nana and Papa visit: By Kyla

Nana and Papa came to visit me!  We always have so much fun when they come down.  This time we did lots of things, and I decided to show you pictures of my favorite parts of their visit (Mom let me include lots of pictures!)

We got to finally play in my back yard.  I have been waiting for the rain to stop so that I can go outside.  I got to play football with Nana and bubbles with mommy.  Papa took some great pictures, and pushed me on my swing.

We got to go to the zoo for a little visit.  I got kind of tired, and the weather wasn't very warm.  I got to pet my first animal at the petting zoo...a rabbit.  Daddy doesn't like me touching too many animals because he says they carry diseases.  Don't worry daddy, I washed my hands!!

I was able to show them my blocks, and markers, and my special dance moves.  I love dancing after bath time.  It is my favorite activity right now. I was able to get away from mommy before she could get my jammies on.

My favorite time was going swimming.  A new pool opened up with a floating river and a water slide.  I went down with daddy the first time and then I wanted to go more and more!!

Thanks Nana and Papa for Visiting!!

Dishwasher Install

It has been a while since we have posted.  We have had company in town and have traveled out of down, which we will post about later.  While we had company in town, our dishwasher broke.  It was old and making many sounds, adding new ones each time the dishwasher ran.  While installing our new one, Kyla found many ways to "help".

(Yes, at one time it took many hands to finish the install.)
