Building on a Legacy

Four women, all from the same family, all daughters.  Kyla has so much to gain from this legacy of family, perseverance, relationship, and faith.  Thank you to the two mothers who have gone before me, leading by example, and showing me what it takes to be a Proverbs 31 woman.  May I continue to pass this example onto Kyla.

Missing Friends

Before we left Seattle, Kyla got to have one last play date with all of her friends.  Grant, Averie, and Norah all showed up to the party at the same time.  Some of these sweet pictures were captured.  We miss you, dear friends, but cannot wait to have another play date again.

The big SWITCH

Well, we made the big switch...from a Toshiba laptop to a MAC laptop.  Many people have given us strange looks, but the more we use it the more we like it.  The only downside is now we need to switch over all of our pictures from the old computer to the new one.  So with this switch comes more waiting.  I (Rachel) am usually the type of person that likes things in order and in their right place, however I will be posting updates out of order as I have the graduation pictures and not the moving and house pictures.  I guess and update is an update no matter the order or how much time has passed.

Updates Coming Soon...

For those of you who have been patiently waiting an update (and those who haven't), they are coming soon!!  We are back in Portland and now have internet.  We have many things to write about.  Stay tuned!

Letter to Daddy!!

Daddy,
Mommy just told me that you left for your last day of work before we move. YEAH DADDY!! From what mom says, you have worked really hard and we are both so proud of you. You have spent time with me after your busy days of work and have made me laugh more at times than even mom can. I love watching you come home from work and I get excited when I hear the door open. Mom says this is your favorite time of day too. Mom says you miss me when you go to work, but I know you love me no matter where you are.

I look forward to playing with you during your break. I can't wait to play peek-a-boo when I wake up from my naps, and go on walks during the day when the sun is shining. We are going to have so much fun as a family. Thank you for working hard to be my dad, and working hard to be a good doctor. You are the best!!

I'll be watching for you to come home tonight!

Love,
Kyla

First Family Swim

We just recently found a great indoor pool that is just north of us. We took some time on Jason's day off to have family time outside of the home. It was the perfect activity for a rainy Seattle day. Kyla loves the water!! She is not sure what to think or do when water is splashed on her face or when she is taken under the sprinkling water fall. We are looking forward to starting swim lessons this summer and get her used to the water in her face.
Jason loves to make Kyla laugh!!

What is swimming without lots of toys?
